It's a bit of a silly thing to say, but assuming Hamish is your golden boy, I've always seen his picture and thought he looked like a Hamish!

It just seems a bit of a mouthful, I like short names, if I'd had my way I'd have called him  Elvis.

He is definately a Hamish although I may be biased as my last cocker was a Hamish aka Mish!

Strangely enough if we had gotten a boy he would have been called Elvis too. Wanted to call Jem that anyway but OH told me he would move out if I called a girl Elvis... great minds think alike

The only similar sounding American word I can think of is "Diaper" - probably not the kind of name you had in mind.

Surprisingly, "Diaper" is not on my list  I was thinking "Denver" but I get confused enough with 2 'D' names.  His original name was Sabre - I've only known 3 dogs called Sabre and they were all German Shepherds ::  Val decided to change it to something that sounded a little less aggressive

Thats him been here 24 hours now and he is wandering about the living room now which is good. He slept in his crate last night with absolutely no problems. I took him into work with me & Vegas this morning and he was as good as gold. He played with another staff dog and then lay in the office with no probs. He loves going out and wants to speak to everyone he sees. His tail never stops wagging!! Left him at home in his crate for 2 hours this afternoon and again, no problems.  What else did I learn about him today? If there is nothing to cock his leg against, he will lie down and pee ::    He is fascinated by the chinchilla - not sure whether he wants to play with her or eat her

oh what a little sweetie look at that face i hope so much for all your sakes it all goes well why was he up for rehoming ?i really dont get why some people want rid i know sometimes there are good unavoidable reasons but some just see a diffrent animal to others i supposed if your doggie type your patience thresholds higher mine are everywhere but that would annoy some oh well
