I also think that the show cockers I see at crufts are a lot smaller than most of the average pet show type cockers. Any one agree?

Mmm, not sure; Molo is the same size as his sire/dame and they have both been to Crufts
If anything, his sire was a bit bigger
Most of the puppies from "show" litters go to pet homes, so theoretically, there shouldn't be that much difference.......
Grooming makes a huge difference though - I always think that cockers in show trim look as if they have tiny legs because all the feathering hides them
I think that clipping cockers makes them look bigger, too
I have no idea how big Molo is - I'll try and get the tape measure out in the next few days
