Yesterdays walk
« on: March 15, 2006, 09:43:45 AM »
We were out for 2 hours yesterday running in mud and soggy meadows with my two, Dill the foster boy and a couple of beagles I know.

The funny bit was when Wilf got too gobby with Charlie we met en route who's a flat coat retriever cross—Charlie is getting very fed up of Wilf's gobbiness every time he meets him so he very calmly pushed him over with his huge paws then sat on him! :005: Well it shut him up

Excellent - love it when they get each other back!

Bella's got a friend who's a beautiful blue merle rough collie called Sassie - Bella really loves her, literally does full bum wags when she meets her. Anyway they always have a good wrestle and Bella loves to just bury into her fur and pull at it - last time they were playing like this and Sassie worked out a really good use for Bella's ears - got her on her back so that her ears were splayed out on either side, and then placed a paw on each ear and pinned her down by them!  :005:

It didn't last long though, Bella wriggled and kicked her little legs like crazy and soon escaped, she is a llittle houdini!

That's a lovely, good natured way to be firm with another dog isn't it. Lovely!!

How lovely  - I bet Wilf is already plotting his payback though !!  :005:

When Milly was about 7 months old a 10 month old Bouvier came running over to play with her in the park.  It was enormous - she could have run through its legs.  Anyway after he chased her around and bashed her about a bit she got fed up, took one charge at him - pushed him onto his back and laid in the middle of his belly. It was so funny, her little legs didn't even touch the floor. He looked so shocked he just laid there - she looked at us all proud with a soppy grin as if it to say 'huh that'll teach him'

Poor Wilf - I'm sure he's not really gobby - he's just misunderstood  ;) :005: :005:

Penny - your two sound like a right comedy duo - Gobby Wilf and the Ball Snatching Ruby - what a pair  ;)
