I am so very sad for your loss - I lost one of my dogs last year from a horrible illness and it is an awful thing to go through.  My thoughts are with you, at least he is not in pain now.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with this.   It is still early days - take care of yourself and things really will get easier but it may take longer than you expect.  :-\  It has been a great shock with no warning so it is bound to have hit you hard.
