Do Cockers shed much hair?

I'm new to this Cocker owning business, just wondered if my vacuum will be working overtime?  :005:

Hi ya well i don't notice much with tom but i groom him lots and he is hand stripped weekly if needed! although i soon fill my hoover up but i think it's more from the kids leaving food everywhere! :005:

I thought it was fab when Max was little - hardly seemed to shed at all but then adolescence arrived & now EVERYWHERE is constantly covered in a layer of dog hair!! My hoover is ALWAYS  on!!!!!!!!!

I have never seen so much as a hair shed from Bailey (gold)...........but Harvey (black) :o  :o  I have found black hairs in the strangest of places.  They are everywhere  >:(

Sasha who is spayed doesn't seem to lose any hair. Ellie who is not spayed sheds tons, although I do think she has lost her coat since having a season.

Tilly, my spayed liver girl doesn't seem to shed much at all and neither does Rodaidh (golden) so far, but Alfie my blue roan boy sheds constantly. I can hoover twice a day and still find hairs everywhere  >:(  and they're all relatively hairless working cockers, I couldn't cope with show type shedding!  :005:

I must be lucky with my blue roan then as he is dripping in coat maybe thats why he is dripping in coat  :005: :005: but there is hair everywhere after our grooming sessions  :005:

A daily groom helps to take out alot of the loose hairs, but, yep the hoover is still on a fair bit despite that!

Disney & Aspen are the main culprits in this house. They are orange roans and everything seems to live under a blanket of white hairs. I've permanently got the sweeping brush out  :lol:  In saying that, I have found black hairs in my marge and cups of tea courtesy of Dallas  :lol:

Billy moults like mad. I'm not sure if it's that he moults more than the average dog or if it's because he is black and therefore his hairs stand out more.

I find his hairs everwhere  ph34r

Everysingle morning without fail there will be at least four or five of billys hairs in the bath, dunno how they get there? i find them all over the place,even in the butter sometimes  :-\

My last cocker (Golden boy) never shed any hair - never saw a thing.. I assumed that it was a breed thing and they just needed shaving er... I mean nice hand stripping several times a year... are you telling me that my new blue roan pup might shed his coat all over the house?? I'll have to send him back!

Ben is a golden working type and only leaves hair on black clothing when just leaving for work  :005:  Other than that my cat is the worst culprit!  She is mainly white and her coat hangs in the air as well as staying on the sofa  ::)  My dyson gets full within 30 mins of vacuuming and it's nearly all cat hair  ::)

I can remember in my distant past being fairly house proud - not anymore  :005:

in a word YES.  In comparison to my weim Ayla sheds an enormous amount of hair but no way near as much as my springer spaniel who being white in majority shows up on everything :luv:

Ayla gets the odd trimming from me and is groomed regularly loves her baths but she still seems to have loads of hair.. tempted sometime just to hoover her :005: :luv:
