paint off a dog?
« on: August 02, 2007, 09:42:24 AM »
Been doing some painting and Bailey decided to sit against the skirting board just as it had been painted :005:  He is now sporting a white bum and tail   Good job he isnt a 'show' cocker.

So my question is how do you get paint off a cocker bearing in mind he doesnt like to be groomed with a brush, just likes a warm shower and towel dried, tried that and it hasnt came off but he doesnt seem that bothered with it so should I just leave it.

Been there done that :D

Will he tolerate a couple of snips with some thinning scissors? otherwise I'd just leave it too.

I remember once using expandable foam with a dodgy nozzle and getting it all over the place, the rabbit then walked in it to investigate what it was, I picked her up then got her stuck to my hands and eventually had to cut her off me. She ended up with hugh chunks of fur missing and I looked like a werewolf for a while.

 :rofl1: :rofl1:

At least the cat learned his lesson, Pippin the Terrible (the rabbit, and she didn't get that name from being good) is still as nosey as ever.

vegatable oil will get gloss paint off the dogs coat. just stick him in the bath(no water tho) and start to massage the oil into the affected area. i would only bother is its a lot of paint. if its just a little bit i would leave it.

No advice, but am really enjoying the paint/glue disaster stories.

Anyone got any more? :005:
