Joey has one and it makes it so much easier for us to walk him, if you just attach his lead to his collar he will just pull the whole time!

Found Sporn harness in PAH the other day. I've never seen them in there before.
I bought the smallest size for Beatle. She is a small Working Cocker weighs about 10.5 kilos.  It fits really well and it is magic!!
We get to places in half the time....no more constant corrections and getting her back to heel again. >:D >:D  Arms no longer in danger of being pulled out of sockets, she trots along happily at my side being a little
Magic!!!!!!

Looked on the net, are they the sporn mesh harnesses??  Holly has started being a little >:D when walking.  It takes me to entice or carry her to the park and then she is also like a steam train trying to get back home, she is fine when we are in the park or woods.  Think the Sporn Harness might help.

It sounds great, Oscar gets so excited walking with Jet he has to be reminded to heel all the way and he also can,t wait to go home.

Is the sporn harness the same as the Mikki Walkrite.   Which I found difficult to use as the rubber tubes under the front legs kept having to be adjusted and I could cope with having to stop every 5 mins to adjust it.  Did help to stop Molly pulling though, but it was just a bit of a pain.  Thought about a halti but not sure.

I personally have had mixed results with them.
Some dogs they transform and others pull right through them.

Well I'm amazed, I have tried an ordinary harness in the passed, I found Coco pulled with all his body weight, his collar and lead was a nightmare, my arms were like ape's, I received his Sporn harness on Friday to my delight its the best purchase I have made, its the answer to all my problems as far as walking his concerned.

Hey Kimberly, I wholeheartedly agree with you, they're fantastic.  My Cocoa was like your Coco, she pulled with all her might and nothing I did or tried could stop her.  I got my harness 2 week's ago and it has been so good just to go for a gentle stroll along without being dragged everywhere.  I took her for a walk today and didn't take the harness as I was going to let her off as soon as we got to the forest but I put her lead on her collar for a short while and we were back to our old steam train antics  :005:

I use one for my Milly. It works really well for her. She gets really confused when we go for a walk and I just put a lead on her. She sits beautifully and lifts her front paws one at a time to get her harness on.  :005:

Can you tell me where you bought these harnesses from.  What is the difference between these and other harnesses please.  Right now our charlie is pulling my O/H arms off and we cant  pull him back as he has this disk disease in his spine, we would prefer a way of Charlie stopping from pulling without a tug of war.  Thanks  :'(

I got mine on ebay, just search for "non pull harness" and loads will come up. You should need a medium.

Thanks I think I will invest in one and if it works it may save O/H from getting his arms pulled off.  What is different with the harness

Hi Catcmartin,

The bits that go under the arms are covered with a fake sheepskin like sleeve so that they are comfy but if the dog pulls these underarm bits tighten up and it just stops them from pulling.  They are comfortable for the dog and not cruel in any way.  Ordinary harnesses are just fixed in place but it's the action of the bits under the arms which come up through to the top of the harness and are then attached to a ring which you then clip the lead on to which stop the dog from pulling.  I am eventually going to get a double ended training lead which apparently you can attach one end to the harness and the other end to the collar and hold it somewhere in the middle so that you can eventually wean the dog off the harness (hopefully!)
