Help Needed With Lost KC Papers
« on: January 10, 2008, 10:56:47 PM »
Can anyone give me some advice please.

We have inadvertantly, during a house move, lost Vera's KC papers. Fortunately I still have her pedigree.

Do I write / email the kennel club enclosing a copy of her pedigree?

Any suggestions please?

PS I don't have the KC papers reference numbers either!

Was Vera transferred into your name at the KC? Just asking as only the registered owner can apply for a replacement KC certificate so if Vera was never transferred, you'd need to get her previous owners to apply to the KC for a replacement certificate. If Vera is in your name, then you can apply online at the KC website for a replacement certificate but unfortunately, you will need her KC reg number. Probably the best thing to do is to ring the KC and explain what's happened and see what they advise ;)

the kc will ask you to complete a change of address form and there is a fee for that to be done but they can provide all the other info that you need over the phone.

I made the mistake of going to the isle of wight not taking my dogs paperwork with me for my crufts entry and they were very helpful.
