Fly Ball

Well I took Phoebe to her first Fly Ball lesson yesterday and she loved it :D . It didn't take her long to get the grip and I think she enjoyed herself. As long as she got to chase the ball afterwards.

I think she's got potential :D

Well done Phoebe :D  :D

I can't imagine Billy ever doing something like this he seems to think that balls are for running round in circles with whilst Mum gets red in the face from calling your name.

Well done Phoebe  :D  I must admit it looks fun for both dogs and owners

Buttys idea of playing ball is running away and trying to make you get it back off her

Same with Lottie

I love watching the flyball at Crufts, the dogs have a whale of a time.  Glad you're both enjoying it

Can I ask a daft question?  What exactly is 'fly ball'?  Anything with the word ball in it gets Fletch's interest, as long as it involves chasing a ball and bringing it back

Well, Fly ball is when the dog starts at the beginning of a row of 3 small jumps with a ball holder at the other end. Your dog pelts down over the jumps triggers the ball holder, graps the ball and pelts back down over the jumps and hands over the ball - easy really!!!!!

Phoebe caught on really quickly - I think because she's really ball orientated  . The sit, stay training has come in useful though while she gets used to it.

I just hope I can keep up :)
