« on: March 11, 2004, 05:56:30 PM »
We will be picking our new puppy up in 4 weeks and therefore have a bit of time to prepare. Has anyone got any good pointers on what size and perhaps make of crate to buy. :?

Regards

The thread under 'shopping' re the Argos crate might help you. :)

I bought one of these for my pup and so far it's perfect.

Hope this is of some help.

we got a 36inch for home and "30inch for the car. The extra large is 42 so I'm not sure this would fit in an estate. having said all that we got ours from http://www.cages4pets.co.uk/ and found the prices very reasonable the medium balck coated is £29.99 plus 7.99 postage and has two doors which is very useful....

for the house we went for the more upmarket version for the 36 which was £49 plus postage, this is quite a lot stronger (good job as most of his treats etc are on top.  its worth while have some kind of blanket for the nights as well to make it more snug, and prob some vet bed for any accidents..

Some crates are better than others though so I went for a Croft one for my two.

I got the Argos one and it's plenty big enough for Maggie. She has loads of room to sprawl.
