and the worst thing is I was away for a weeks holiday when it happened.
His seizures were getting closer together again and it had been over 4 weeks since his last so I was concerned it would happen but we were going to Portugal as a family with my daughter and her fiance and my two sons. Before I left I cuddled him and told him not to go anywhere when I was away but he never was the most obedient boy.
My mum and dad stayed her with him, Milly, Ali and their little cocker Susie whom Barney adored. He began having seizures on Wednesday. My mum and dad gave him valium then took him to the vet when they realised he was getting worse.
He went into status and the vet wanted to have him PTS but I asked them not to as he has done this before and pulled through-this time he didn't.
I phoned on Thursday evening to be told that he had just passed away during a seizure.
My mum, dad and sister were wonderful but it broke my heart knowing that I would never see him again.
He was 4 on 6th July and has had fits since he was 6 months old. Knowing what was ahead if I could go back and choose from that litter over again I would still chose him. He was such a character and I have such a lot of good memories to hold me together.
