I've only just seen this, and I'm so sorry to read tht Barney has passed on.  I know how odd this will seem but he may have been waiting for you to not be around. My great gran died in a nursing home that she stayed in for a week while my Gran was away. She always had a fear that my Gran would b the one to find her in her bed so its as ifshe saved my Gran from that trauma. Maybe Barney was saving you the same trauma. I hope your happy memories of him keep you smiling. xxxx
