I don't really "do" new years eve anymore. I used to when I was younger, stupidly clubbing until 2am then waiting another four hours for a taxi home and spent all day new years day in bed with hangover but not anymore  :lol2:

We'll stay in with wine and a chinease, may have friends round, then up nice and early new years day for a stroll with Billy  :D

We haven't 'done' Hogmanay since the year my daughter was born 6 years ago when we had about 50 round the house (yes mad woman with a 3 month old baby, had already done christmas dinner for 30!). We have an open house on New Years day normally and have about 50 people round and I can't face that with a hangover.
This year we are heading up the road to my sisters house in Aberdeen. Us, kids and Molly too :luv: and my parents. We're staying for about 3 days so Molly will be spoiled rotten as we will walk her as norm but my dad won't be able to resist either so she'll get out with grandad too! There was no question of Molly not going with us tho, my sister hasn't met her yet and is desperate, think she would have been gutted if we hadn't brought her, in fact we'd probably have had our invitation revoked!
Christmas day we are at my parents' house and again no question of Molly being left out  :luv:

We've stayed in the past couple of years since Millie had a bad time with fireworks when we were out :'(
This year though we're going to stay in at a rented cottage in Bamburgh. There's 9 of us and 3 dogs and I'm really looking forward to it. My only concern is that the cottages next door all have fireworks ::) I'm going prepared with Rescue Remedy and Primula though ;)

We never go out either.  Our dog-less friends think we're mad but we'd rather be home & know our dogs are OK than be out & worrying about them.  :luv:   We do generally get the last laugh - at least we can actually remember letting the New Year in & don't have to cook dinner the next day with the hangover from hell!  ;)

I am looking forward to spending NYE with the 2 men in my life (OH and Fred) and a glass of something- last year was our first with Fred and I stayed in as I was worried about leaving him with all the fireworks-the lil sod slept through everything-and I ran out of drink about 8.30pm. So this year I am restocking the fridge and keeping him awake!! :005: :005:

You either must have started drinking really early or really fast! :005:
