oh, my neighbour has a black greyhound she's called 'Black dog'... I can't stand it, it's SO contrived. Every time she stands in the garden yelling 'Black dog come here, BLACK DOG!!!! BLACK DOG!!!!' I want to yell 'Oi! Blond tart, give her a proper name and she might respond'  ph34r ph34r ph34r

(I don't get on with her btw :D)

I saw someone in the park who was calling his dog - "Bassett Hound come here"  ::)  Not sure if it was the dog's name or he had just forgotten what it's name was.  Either way, I thought he was a p*llock!  ph34r :005:

I like most hooman names for dogs - not sure if things like Jeff, Ian, Richard or Mark work though  :-\

Oh oh when we were younger my sister had two gerbils she called Jeremy and William because if you shorten those names you get 'Jer & Bill' a little tenuous but we thought it was brilliant at the time

This is true (have to say that 'cause sometimes I like a joke).  I have friends near Buxton who have a dog called Fanny!  Well I do not mind saying "Have you seen my Mundy or Jenni" but there is no way I would want to wander the woods asking if anyone had seen my..........other dog!    :shades:
I love my dogs.  They make it worth getting out of bed in the morning.

I know someone with 2 springers called Bonnie and Clyde which is pretty cool, and as you know a family at our dog training class have a dog named LADY SPOT  :005: :005: :005: :005:
I had enough trouble picking the names for our gang, so not very good at coming up with names for anyone else's dogs - sorry.

There is a man near to me who takes his dog in the park and his dog is called Lionel. Its some kind of huge terrier.  I think it suits him.

Or worse if someone asking them what they are doing.... 'I'm looking for...' or where are you going 'Out to get....'

I think probably a quite amusing name would be Doug (in Scotland pronounced Dug) (which is also how some pronounce Dog) ;)
The reason dogs have so many friends is because they wag their tails instead of their tongues.

Oooh I could go on forever ....Barry, Malcolm, Brian, Gareth, Darren
But then don't take comments from me to heart because if when I get another one, a name I have considered is Roy  ph34r

My nephew has a dog called Norman. A friend called their tortoise Colin.

I don't think John, James, Richard, Keith, Alan, Francis or Michael really work for a dog.
No ladies names suggested yet I see!!
Would you call your dog Sharon, Tracey or Barbara?
