I don't think Michele would work as a dogs name.  :-\ ph34r :lol2:

Oh, I don't know.............. :005:

I know a golden cocker called Gordon too - if it is the same one and they are using a different groomer, you have nothing to worry about - poor boy looked a proper state, even I could have done a better job  :-\ :005:

I had a cat called Peter but I've not heard of a dog called Peter, I also had a cat called Simon...I know of a Rottie called Tallulah  :005: she's lovely though.

We had a Lab called Sally when I was a child.

When we first visited some new friends they said Uncle Rufus will be in shortly and the way they talked about him I was expecting a jolly type of chap but in walked this lovely wire haired dachshund with the biggest whiskers and character I have ever seen :005:

There's so many that just don't sound right and so many that sound great, I love Stan, Winston, Jack, Eric, Ernic etc - old man's names but hate the Wayne, Kev type of names for a dog, I'd be too embarrassed to shout it out.    :005:

our first lab was 'Jenny' - there was slight confusion when my brother married a Jenny, but it's always been evident who the most lovely bitch was (and she had 4 legs  :luv: :luv: :luv:  ph34r )

I LOVE the idea of 'Uncle Rufus' - what a brilliant name (I do love wire haired dachsies, they are such characters  :luv: )

One of my Great Uncle's cockers was called Emma and she was named after I was born. I take it as a compliment though because she was gorgeous. Now if she was a pit bull I might have been offended  :005: :005:

My SIL and BIL have 2 cats called Archie and Dennis  :D You wouldn't think Dennis would work but it does!
The reason dogs have so many friends is because they wag their tails instead of their tongues.

Lots of people call their dogs (and cats) - Sally (my name), Lucy (my sister's name)  - which used to drive me bananas when I was little.

But my brother?  Well I've never heard of an animal called Nicholas  :005:  :005:  :005:

When Milly came to stay  with us I called her Tilly as I said I was keeping her "till he" said she had to go!
"He" then said to me one day "If you're planning to keep that dog you'll have to change her name. That's my granny's name."  :005:
So she became Milly and 9and half years later she is still here.  :luv:

My friend called her collie Lucy after my mum, so when I got Daisy I thought about returning the favour and calling her Margaret after my friend's mum (for all of about 2 seconds!).  I do still look at Daisy sometimes though and think 'you really do look like a Philip to me'  ph34r .

I've called my young tortoise Betty, (because when I collected her she did a huge stinky poo in the car and when I got her out I did a Frank Spencer - oooh, Betty's done a whoopsie - and it stuck (the name, not the poo)).  But as you can't really tell the sex of a tortoise until it gets a bit older the male name I've got in reserve is Cecil.

I used to go out with her.  :005:
I love my dogs.  They make it worth getting out of bed in the morning.

I don't think Willy or Dick would be a good idea......
RIP Marti  the EPI springer age 12,  and beloved black cocker Bobby, 8 yrs old, too soon, from PLN.
Now owned by TInker, tiny hairy grey poodle/terrier rescue from Greece and Jack, local rescue,   scruffy ginger terrier mutt.
