You wouldn't think...
« on: July 17, 2004, 11:32:32 PM »
That Wilf's had a swollen paw all week and had to be prodded and poked around yesterday and then put under general anaesthesia to have the abscess lanced and cleaned out (and of course the grass seed removed). Two hours after all this he was raring to go and hasn't stopped since. His paw's still swollen but as always it doesn't really bother him, and he still loves the vet bless him. I think the only one who really knows something happened yesterday was my purse as its now 115 pounds lighter LOL

I would say 'get well soon Wilf", but he seems to be 'got well already'.  Poor baby though.  Anethsetics always worry me.
Love Becky, Danny and Ollie!

It was the best thing really as when the vet 1st looked at his paw the prodding around was hurting Wilf and the grass seed was breaking down so he didn't know whether it had all gone (and this is a sound dog who's  doesn't usually fuss at the vets and just let them get on with it). Thankfully Steve is a really good surgeon and so is very quick (and very thorough) even if he doesn't always have the best people skills!

oh dear, one of my parent's boy had the same thing. Had to be operated... but no, this wasn't enough... he also had an allergic shock from the antibiotic injection! My mum was a reck for the w/e... well, the little one (named jimmy) is ok now, but somehow, you can see that he's been through quite a lot.

Anyway get well soon.
