Some dogs you remember even when you don't know them personally, and your Jet was one of them. Your stories of what he had been up to made me smile at his naughtiness. It was clear that you loved (and love) him very much. Wishing you all the best in the time to come.

Am very sorry to hear about Jet - know that nothing I can say can console - my thoughts are with you and your family. Just a terrible thing to have happened.

I still can't belive Jet has gone and it is my fault for getting too complacent. I exercise the three of them every day in the fields behind my house. The fields are empty and are nowhere near the road. If i didn't keep a close eye on Jet he would scoot across the fields to the farm to see the dog that lives there but he would come back after a few minutes. When he disappeared yesterday evening I wasn't too concerned especially at it was time for his meal and Jet loved his food. Unfortunately this time jet took a completely different direction and must have crossed 3 fields to get out onto the road where he just ran out in front of a car. I have spoken to the lady who hit him and she is devasted. He died instantly.Thankfully no-one was hurt -I could have been responsible for killing someone. Her car is slighly damaged but won't cost much to fix and our insurance will take care of that. However Jet is gone for ever and that poor woman is so upset at having hit him and it is just because I assumed that he would be right behind me as usual.

I know how hard it is watching 3 at once, especially when they're all going in different directions.

As Louis Mum says - you really mustnt blame yourself - its just one of those awful things -  and the next few days, weeks, months are going to be hard enough without thinking it is all your fault. Run free Jet  :'( :'(
