I am so sorry to hear this sad news  :'(.  I've seen the pictures of Charlie and he was a lovely happy little dog.  He obviously had a wonderful life with you.  My thoughts are with you and your family.

I recently lost my Cocker Spaniel leaving me with a Little Jack Russell, she has looked around for Max but has adapted very quickly, but from talking to others I have been very lucky and I hope you are too and that Archie soon settles as Kia has.

When we lost our Paige,Alice her daughter really missed her ,it took ages to get her to go for a walk on her own.But they do get over it eventually, some take longer than others.
Take care and try to think of all the lovely times you had together.
