Never knew they were called Cleavers.

I quite enjoy them. I pick them off, pile them on the arm of the settee then drop them all over the floor. ::)

Isn't that an impressive coat load Charlie has! I have them in the garden, thanks to Rufus's seed dissemination programme. Cleavers are bad, but burdock which have huge horrid burrs are really nasty, and sometimes hurt his paws or lower feathers so much that he just lies down and feverishly bites at them. My friend had problems because her worker swallowed one and because of the spiny things on it it got stuck. At least cleavers are quite harmless!

We call it sticky weed ever since my eldest daughter thought it would be funny to wrap a load of it round my youngest daughter many years ago, it took an age to get it all off her and conditioner and a comb was the only way to get it out of her bottom length hair >:D

Buddy got quite distressed when he got covered last week with it so now i keep him on a lead till we pass the problem area near us  :luv: Over proctective cocker mother, thats me  :005:

I bought a 'slicker' like some of you advised, and yes it's good for getting them out. Thanks.
