Just wanted to add that really good breeders will do things outwith the call of duty.  Molly's breeder offered to take her back when she was about 8 months old and out of control :o .  It was a great comfort to know that we always had that option, but couldn't bear to part with her.  Needless to say, I didn't have to think twice when Brodies litter was born. :D .  Staying in contact with the breeder is a good thing to do if possible, not just for problems, but to let them know how their babies are doing.

 i agree, my breeder also said he would take Bailey back if i found i was unable to cope, or if there was any problems. I wouldn't dream of giving him back we all love him too much!!! :P

I dont think the cost of the pup bears any reflection on the breeding now.

What I mean by that is the local pet shop here who sells puppy farm cockers charges between £550 and £650 depending on the colour and sex - small adds are about the same. Good reputable breeders charge around the same so cost is no guarentee of what you are buying, only good thorough research beforehand will guide you
