Do you have a nickname for your dog?
« on: January 18, 2010, 01:14:11 PM »
Do not laugh but I call Tess 'Boo Boo'  (as in yogi bears best friend Boo Boo bear)

I also do this in a yogi bear accent "hey Boo Boo" although I do try to do this in the privacy of my own home.

Am I alone or do any of you lot have nicknames for yours, if so what are they?

Harley is called rabbit by my youngest daughter because she thought he looked like a bunny when we first got him.

Rio is called 'Street Boy' because when the foster carer brought him to us she told us that he used to escape from his previous home and take himself for a walk  ph34r  OH says he is very streetwise,  he taught Harley all sorts of norty stuff like stealing food from the work surface in the kitchen by opening the oven door and using it as a step up ( we have since replaced the weak hinges so have put an end to that little trick  :005:)

They have lots, I have this thing about rhyming words with the dogs' names so most of their nicknames are based around that. Worst of it is I do it with other people's dogs that I see a lot too ph34r

Rodaidh's main nickname is Dodie, in fact a lot of folk call him that rather than Rodaidh. So he gets Dodie, Rodaidh Dodie, Rodaidh Dodie Doo Dah, or Ro, RoRo, DoDo or FloJo :lol2:

Tilly's are Tills, Tillydog, SillyBillyTilly or Tilly Tilly Baddog said in a stupid singsong voice, cos she is :shades: and when she's not so good she's Bratdog.

Caoimhe's is Weevil, because it rhymes with her name and because she is one :005: I call her my little Weevil Baby :luv: or if she's just chewed another pair of knickers she's the Evil Weevil.

My Mum has different nicknames for all 3 of them though, Rodaidh is Rodaidhdendron or 'boy in the world' (short for 'bestest boy in the world' apparently :005:), Caoimhe is Diva (it rhymes!) and Tilly is Galaxy Girl.

Collectively they get called The Monsters or Monsterdogs and I also call all of them my little chicken noodle sometimes, I really don't know why :005:

Just checked forum guidelines and apparently I'm not allowed to say rude words so can't tell you what mine are  :005:

The polite ones are Lou_Lou, Hun, Champ-dog (and probably most of the ones falling into the first statement  :shades:) and Jaspa-Waspa; AKA Louie, Heidi, Charlie and Jasper - or as they're called most ....... "DOGS!"

Toby is mostly called Tobias. Sounds like: toe-be-us (accent on first syllable). Also frequently Tobus (bus with the "u" like in "thus"). He is also called "jochie" or "ventje" (little guy).
