How safe is your garden.
« on: February 12, 2010, 11:45:01 PM »
I feel I need to make people aware of just how safe is your garden. Today I had 3 Cockers stolen from our back garden, my daughter was off from school and had let the dogs out in the garden for a run, within app half an hour of them being out a local women knocked with one of our dogs in her car, she had seen 2 young men walking nearby with the dogs on a make shift lead, when questioned they ran off dropping one of the leads so thankfully we have one of our dogs back home with us. The police were informed and a huge search went underway to try and locate the missing two. Sightings were reported to us of two youths aged app 17 with 2 Cocker Spaniels. At 10pm tonight the police came round with one of our dogs saying it had been found wanderering about near a very busy main road.  At this point in time we are still missing one and will resume our search first thing in the morning. Upon inspection of our back gate it looks like someone has jumped up on a wall to lean over and although bolted with a padlock they have managed to cut through this. Although one of my daughters was home she seen or heard nothing. The dogs were taken from Southport, Merseyside, the local vets, R.S.P.C.A and police have all been informed. Please check your back garden for safety as this can happen to anyone. The missing dog is a bitch, she is chipped and is a Blue Roan and Tan. I will keep you informed of any progress, Thankyou, Karen x

Thankyou, it's worse as one of my daughters was off from school but she didn't hear anything I got a call from her this morning very distressed and was over an hour away in a meeting, I have never driven home so quickly. We are all very distressed and have been searching most of the day but the problem being is the more people you speak too the more reports they give you. We will start again in the morning. You feel so helpless in a situation like this and as we live so near to farm land and beaches your mind starts running away with you as to were she could be.

How awful - this must be a nightmare for you (and is my worst nightmare).

Will be keeping everything crossed for your little ones safe return.

I don't know if any COLers may be able to help if you mention the area that your in, and be on the look out for your girl.
