Puppy Fluff
« on: August 30, 2010, 08:32:44 PM »
Our black puppy 'Angel' is now 11 weeks and her coat is very 'fluffy' compared to other cockers we've had. (orange and choc roans). Do the solid blacks have heavier coats?
Black 'Angel' and Sable 'Willow'.

Generally yes, much heavier!

Whenever I see pics on black puppies I always think what woolly little beasties they are  :luv: But then they turn into beautiful, sleek girls and boys, like Scarlett  :luv: :luv:

Merfyn looks like a woolly mammoth (black and tan)  but my black girl Paisley although she has a thick coat, it has always laid flat and looked silky!  So not all blacks are fluff monsters!

hopefully Merfyns will miraculously turn silky and straight when he gets his adult coat!

I'm not sure Roxy has a body under all that fluff.  I would have killed for a perm like that many years ago.... :005:
