Yes, could be a mix. I can see working type there though. He's a handsome chap.

Do you have his pedigree?
This can often give a much better idea of his lines.

Golden show cockers can often be very late in developing a full coat - Golds generally have much less fluff than solid blacks, for example.  But I would say it looks like your fella could well have some worker in him.

Thats what i thought. although i think his the dogs danglys and i wouldn't change him for the world.
I have looked at where my partner got him and as i didn't know she was getting a dog she bought him from an advert she found online and although she saw the puppies in his house he only had a photo of the mum and looking at the paperwork we got i cant  make it out. i just did a search of the place she told me she got him from and it looks like his now selling  cavaliers king charles. I dont know but to me it looks like his getting them from a dog farm is there anything i can do to stop him such as reporting him to an authority, as its awful dog farm breeding and his only making them more money.
I cant blame my partner for anything as she is to trustiing oblivious to how some people are.
i don't want to give him oscar back as i wouldn't let him go for anything. just wondered if i can do anything to stop this happening

He is the spit of my Pluto. His pedigree says both parents are workers, although we only saw mum and she was only small. Pluto is tall so alot of people think he is a springer cross, he has a short coat like yours. Look at my avitar pic,he has the same sweet face as yours. :luv:

Hi Yomper :D
Wee Oscar :luv:is gorguss!
His ears look quite high on his
head and I think that might be
a clue to some worker in his background.
(I have been known to be wrong though ;))
If you love him it really doesn't matter
a jot!

He does look like a  worker to me ...... look on the bright side though, think of how much more grooming you would have if he was a show type.  ;)  So long as you love him and he loves you, what else really matters.

He is a lovely little tike isn't he.  :luv:

We couldn't advise you if Yonker is a show or working type, all we can tell you is that he's gorgeous.

What else matters.  As for the puppy farm, we have complained to our AM till we're blue in the face, but all she will tell us that it is in hand.

Love,

Ok thanks for the replies. i did think he was a worker or at least had some in him.
I don't think she could have got a better dog if she tried as he is such a good boy abd i love the look of him. we are going to get another one but i want to wait until this one is well trained and around 1 year old although it is very hard to wait as i want dozens of them looking at all the members dog photos on here

OMG he looks the double of my little Muswell

Muswell's dad is a show type and his Mum a worker
