Thank you everyone. He went very quietly and in my arms. It was the right time and I am 'happy' that I was able to recongise that and put my own feelings out of my mind to support him in the way that he needed me to.
The house is very, very quiet without him. Jasper was my first cocker spaniel and my first rescue as an adult. I adored him so much, that I ended up with 2 more cocker spaniels
he was the ultimate stoodge dog and accepted every foster dog that I brought home, whether it be a litter of puppies or an awkward adult dog with no manners.
I love you Jasper and miss you so very much
