Scooby
« on: August 13, 2012, 10:35:08 AM »
Last night I acquired a beautiful 6 mth old cocker called Scooby. He has both worker and show in his pedigree although he's not KC registered. Looks like mum was worker and dad may be full show or half show (know that because I rang the breeder).

He was going to be put down today by the owner. The history is sketchy but I got a knock on my door last night from a distressed family hoping I could help just because I have cockers. He may have growled or even bitten the families child, but there is an awful lot which doesn't make any sense so don't know if any of it is actually true.

The only thing that I have seen so far is he may be a guarder when it comes to food, but otherwise he's just a very bouncy, happy cocker who is happy round other dogs and happy to be handled by us.

Its so sad that people can just buy pets and give them up without a second thought. I'm going to ring cocker rescue today to see if they can take him.

The crate was set up for him last night, but 2 of mine got in it and he stayed out. I don't think he has been crate trained anyway.

He's been fine with mine, his little eyes lit up when he saw them all. Can't say the feeling was mutual but they are fine with him. He is a confident dog and just wants to play.
