wainwrights wet dog food
« on: January 22, 2013, 05:51:06 PM »
I have just discovered that wainwrights is a pets at home brand...is this right? To be honest I dont have a very good opinion of PAH so if wainwrights is their brand im considering changing, does anyone know and have any experience of wainwrights...I read the ingredients and it seemed ok but now not sure!

It's brilliant and dogs seem to love it, Archie certainly does - when he was younger he stopped eating and it was the only thing he would touch. The ingredients are excellent. It is only available in PAH but is not made by them. It is their brand and manufactured for them. If you look at other packs in similar packaging but with different brand names they are all made in the same factory. I honestly think it is fabulous food and excellent value for money but if the PAH connection bothers you then nature diet or natures menu are both good substitutes.

I think it's brilliant and Brodie loves it :D. I was really surprised when I saw the ingredients as I wasn't expecting them to be so good. It is the only food I've ever found that Brodie runs in circles for!

Yes, I agree with the others. It's really good and Penny loves it. We don't have a local PAH but when I visit one, I usually buy a supply. However, I've found the recommended quantities to feed are quite small, and Penny needs quite a bit more, even though she's quite diddy.

If your dog loves Wainwrights, it seems a shame to change on a matter of principle

I have ordered a load online as i live a long way from the shop and also i don't have to set foot in there. Having said that, my little girl LOVES the place but i end up spending a fortune on stuff.

Have a look at this - it's got a 4 star rating.  Makes for interesting reading.

We feed Roxy the dry version, Salmon and Potato flavour and she loves it, we tried several foods as she was quite fussy, she now comes and asks for her dinner  :o That's good enough for me, and it does get a good rating as mentioned above.
