Any relations of Acorah's out there? His dad was Perfect Bubbly Boy, and his mum was Kenmilltri Ara. I have 5 generations I can go back if you want to see more?

Sounds like working cocker to me   anything beginning with "ken" is usually the name given to the dog by the kennel club if the breeder doesn't have their own affix.

You'd need to go further back in the pedigree to find recognisable names as neither the stud dog owner or breeder have a kennel name (affix). It sounds like Acorah is either a Working Cocker or a working/show-type mix depending on what else is in his pedigree.

Maesydderwen & Rowston are well known Working Cocker affixes. There's a pic of M Soloman HERE. I'm not familiar with any of the others - hopefully Kirsten or one of our other Working Cocker owners will be able to give more info on these

Hi  as far as I know Kenmilltri is the kennel name of a local breeder in Belper, Derbyshire, our Ben's proper name is Kenmilltri Sunny.  I know other people who have had pups from this breeder and they all have same pre fix.

So my Ben might be related???  Ben is not a working cocker, but I know the breeder does breed workers and show dogs.  Usually her black or black and tans come from other local lines in Derbyshire
 Got more info if you want, but I wasn't sure if it was ok to put breeders info on here without asking her??

As Gilly has said kenmilltri is a KC name given as the breeder hasnt a registered affix, so there will be plenty of litters, not all cockers with that affix

Yes it is Caroline, as far as I know it was the affix used for the year 2003 for breeders without their own affix

Interesting taht ken is used by the KC club. My folks bred a few times and tehir name is KENIR which very originally is the starts of both their names (Ken and Irene!). I'll need to let them know.
