Phantom pregnancy
« on: November 11, 2022, 10:40:26 AM »
After a difficult (and surprise!) 2nd season, Ivy is having a phantom pregnancy. Her nipples are really swollen and she's been nesting in her fleece blankets. The vet confirmed it yesterday as she's producing milk. She also said Ivy might be more clingy than normal, but honestly she's always so clingy and cuddly - I hadn't noticed a difference!

My poor girl can't seem to catch a break with her health as she also had a bad allergic reaction to her booster last night and kept me up most of the night, but that's another story for another time!

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for helping her through it? She is booked in for a spay soon and the vet said she will give her some meds to dry up the milk if it doesn't stop naturally, but I would like to try some more natural/herbal remedies first. A friend mentioned Dorwest herbs could help?
