Brothers and sisters
« on: June 23, 2007, 09:22:22 PM »
Hi
Does anybody know how I can find out how many brothers or sisters Charlie has? I would like to try to get in touch with some other owners to see if they have had issues with their dogs, but I don't know where to start?

Hi I tried to do that, she doesn't breed any more and wasn't very helpful at all. I didn't get him form her but from a family and they are not much help either.

If you have his KC registration you can tell which breed supplement he was registered in and from that what other puppies were recorded in litter.  The change of ownership to the new homes may be in the same issue or later depending on when they were sold/registered but this only shows the new owners names, no addresses,so they could be anywhere.

Someone on here kindly gave me the details of the other pups in Jaspers litter.

The breeder would of been best bet if they are willing to put you in touch with other owners or forward a letter perhaps - depends on relationship with the breeder I guess   if they've stopped breeding possibly they can't be bothered.

Can the Kennel club help?

Hi Again
Thanks for that. I do have a KC registration number and will ask the kennel club can they help. I didn't know where to start really, but now I do! I have never even heard of a breed supplement until now, I am quite a novice, but find it all very interesting.

The Kennel club will not be able to discuss owners details due to the data protection act.
