Are you asking about the ovulation tester? If so, I'll move this over to the Breeding board ;)

Yes I used one. One mating day 15 resulted in 8 puppies. I'm not 100% sure whether it was the Matetel or my own instincts though. For what it's worth they sell the saliva based tests on Ebay for around £10 and they are EXACTLY the same, I know because I bought one for a friend who was having trouble conceiving and I compared them  ;) The human version is called Ovatel.

You've just reminded me someone borrowed mine and never gave it back  :-\

I went to the vets for the premate test with excellent results. I only did it once but got her best day.

Buttons had 5 premate tests the first time, which told me to take her on day 20...this is a bitch who has average 21 days seasons and she missed  :-\

Guess I may have just been lucky. Penny seemed ready from day 8, she's always been a bit of a rudey when it comes to seasons. Took her to angela on day 11, she didn't think she was ready so we went home. Decided to do a premate on the 13th save going back to Angela if it was too late. Test said mate now, so dashed back to Angela, were said deed was done. As you know she had 11 pups so couldn't get more accurate than that.

Well Buttons is the "ice queen" when it comes to season  :005: so really gives you NO indication if she is ready or not  ::) We started premate testing on day 11 and she had one every other day until day 19 and they told me to go the next day, she was NOT happy so in my opinion had gone well over. The next time she was mated on days 10 & 12 but not overly happy. On day 15 she showed me a TINY sign that she might be more ready so she ended up going back on days 15 & 17. She whelped to the day 15 mating. Second time used the Matetel as going a long way and she showed no real signs but the Matetel started to show signs of her getting ready around day 13, very difficult to read though so we ended up going on day 15 and thankfully got it right  ;) she was much better with the dog although not too impressed when he tried to impress her by jumping over her head a few times
I think the premate test is only as good as the Vet doing it and interpreting the results. I have since changed Vets as we seemed to get a different one with each test.
