:D
Only 12hrs to go til we leave to collect Herbie
I plan to have an early night to get all my beauty sleep in cos it may have to last a while hehe!!
Don't know if I'm actually going to be doing much sleeping tho, I can see me being like the kid on the Disneyland tv advert..."I can't sleep, I'm too excited" :)

I'll also a bit nervous incase I'm a rubbish doggy owner :-/

It will all be a big adventure for him. :luv: I remember having to settle Louis his first few nights by sleeping with him, people will probably advise you NOT to do that but I couldnt let him cry. I was always a sucker to those little cocker cries and eyes.  :005:

My hubby says I'm a softie cos I got him a cuddle pup from PAH - you put it in the microwave so it's warm and toasty for when he (hopefully) goes to sleep!

I'm dreading the crying he'll probably make - hubby sleeps through anything!

My OH has convinced himself that Louis adored me cos of the time i spent particularly as a pup 'mothering' him. He actually admitted the other day that he felt 'put out' by the attention Louis got and Louis gave me.  :005: We lost (pts)  Louis just over two weeks ago, my OH having my undivided attention......for now.

- don't be daft, you'll be a fab doggie mum! Herbie will have a fab home!!

Also, I felt soooo guilty, taking Roxy away from her littermates, but I have to say, I don't think she's missed them at all - she's too busy with all her new toys and having cuddles!!

Roxy howled the first night for about 30mins, but we were strict with ourselves and ignored her. The second night it reduced to 15mins, and has got less and less from there, and touch wood, not at all now! She's really good, sleeps from 11.30pm until 6am now.

Now, go grab the horlix and try to get some sleep!! And don't forget, when he is asleep on your lap tommorrow evening, to let us know how you've got on!

Have a loverly day!

Hope today is going well :)

We didn't have any issues with Callie and crying she didn't seem bothered at all by the changeabout, she slept so much I doubt she had time to worry!!

Where is he??????!!!!!!!  >:(   :005:

With regard to crying at night you may be lucky, we were very lucky, Wherry cried once the first night and that was it, any other time was when she knew we were about and she wasn't as she got a bit older :luv:  and in that case ignoring, though hard, worked.
With her we let her wail for 20 mins, went down for a cuddle (letting myself in only in a quiet moment) and she would either fall asleep and you could leave her or she would cry for 10 mins then sleep. I think the fact that she was next to the warm aga helped sometimes with the diswasher and it's low hum.
I'm under no illusion; it was probably luck more than judment but just in case, thought i'd share.

Now back to serious business... where is that puppppaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy?????????   >:D
