Thanks, that would be the colour we would like to get as a companion for willow eventually but I have heard they are not so easy to get. Obviously temperament is the most important thing

We were out having a trip on a steam train in the summer and a lady came to stroke Ellie.  She said that she had a one year old chocolate roan cocker at home.  I told her she was lucky getting one that colour, they are difficult to find.  She seemed surprised and said that in the litter there were blue roans and chocolate roans and it was the chocolate roans that were left.

I'm suprised they are rare, I've seen a lot of advertised litters. However that's when I was looking for solid liver and you always see the opposite of what you are looking for  ::)
