Right well I've sent the blood sample and everything off.
The declaration for customs was printed onto paper (2 copies) and then signed and dated by hand. Lets hope that this is acceptable for the USA!
The sample documents were signed by my vet and dated and signed by myself.
Both sample tube and the plastic bag it was sealed into had labels stuck onto them with my name, Bellas name and the date.
The sample in it's sealed bag was then wrapped up in about 5 layers of bubble wrap and put into the padded jiffy envelope.
One of the customs declaration copies was attached to the outside of the jiffy envelope (using cellotape)
On the front of the envelope I wrote OptiGen's address in big, clear writing.
All forms were put carefully into the jiffy envelope next to the bubble wrapped sample.
It's been sent via Airsure (so should arrive at OptiGen on Monday) The lady also very kindly stuck lots of FRAGILE stickers all over it to help keep it safe
So I'm just sitting here with my fingers crossed hoping that the sample arrives safely, that OptiGen are happy to test it AND that Bella's results come back as CLEAR!!
I will let you guys know if my attempt at getting the OptiGen test is successful and also of course what status Bella is
Best wishes,
Mary xxx
