hi mofi well we have mastered sit perfectly now  :005: so guna see if i can do down tomorrow what bout you mofi how r u getting on

Don't forget you have to teach each behaviour in a number of different locations before it is truly learned and does the word sit mean the same if the dog is in front of you or at the side?

Thanks I have noticed that Lottie understands "down" sometimes so it may be that I am not doing it enough in different locations.  More practice I see  ;)

Also check out what body cues you are giving off, is your dog responding to your voice or your body?
It can be good to video yourself to see what is going on.
Rember as well that the action of down from a stand and down from a sit are very different movements for a dog so things like that need to be worked through as well.

Oh there is so much to learn and work on!!!

I brought the clicker and rewards out on one of our walks today, and this was the first time she DIDN'T sit on our walk when I asked her.  I think she was feeling over clicked and lost interest.

Hope I am right in saying this please correct me if I am wrong.  Try and use off rather than down for getting them off the furniture, as down means lying down if you see what I mean

Oh gosh!  I don't want to second guess myself again- OH and I talked about this a bunch, and decided that "get down" was for furniture and "off" will be for jumping up on people and "lay down" with emphasis on the "lay" will be for laying down.  And we're using hand signals first before adding words, not sure if that makes a difference.  I suppose its confusing whatever words you choose...I hope I'm not confusing her.

Well done Lottie and Lady and Mofi and Lauren!!!!  :clapping:

I'm glad to see that we're all getting positive results!
