We brought our pup home in a soft travel crate - I honestly think it's far safer than a lap, even in the back. If the car had to brake suddenly, and the pup was just on a lap.....well, let's just say that I think the pup could be seriously injured. How far are you having to travel to get her, HH? Is she on the Island or are you having to get the ferry?

Soft crates offer very little protection when travelling in a car so if safety is a top concern then a heavier metal crate is safest.
She's here! Well on the ferry with her. Ferry was delayed, so picture soon as! She is a gem. So so cute! Update soon! Thanks for all the kind replies!Sam
