hand stripping a clipped coat
« on: July 31, 2010, 10:20:53 PM »
Hi there

I have decided that my puppy marco after having his second clippering should be in his proper coat as I love the full coat look. I have been reading about hand stripping and in particular the recent thread about combing with an elstic band which seems to make sense. How long does his regrowth need to be before i can start hand stripping - he is a very very curly show type cocker with a thick coat?

Many Thanks Debbie

He'll need about an inch or so of topcoat, enough that you can hold it between your fingers  :D
