First Season

My little girl has just gone through her first season without a problem but nipples remain swollen.
The information I have is that some bitches remain pouchy and that this is normal. My question is is this what their referring to and if so do they not eventually return back to normal

They may remain 'pouchy' for the length of gestation (if she had been mated) and maybe for a few weeks after that if she goes on to have a phantom pregnancy. Then, approx mid seasons, when all her hormones have calmed down she will return to having a flatter belly for a few weeks until the cycle starts all over again

Willows nipples were swollen (even lumpy) for ages after her first season. I remember mentioning it to our vet about a month after her season and the vet said that this can happen. Eventually she did return to normal

Yep. Pippa's nipples only seemed to go down a couple of months ago and she's now started her second season.
