Okay, Aspen has eaten the inner of a biro pen at some point during the night and is now covered in blue ink >:D I actually thought he had a blue collar tangled around his leg it is that bad!!
So, what is the best thing to use to get it out? Any ideas gratefully received ;)

Whenever I get biro on anything I put a bit of Vanish on it and put it in the washing machine....
somehow I dont think that will help much this time.... :005: :005:

But I think while we are giving it some thought you might at least put a piccy on here! :005:
What a mess, hope you manage to get it out, I guess it would take an age to grow out wouldn't it?

I've managed to get most of it out but there is a very stubborn bit on his shoulder that aint budging. He has his first show in a couple of weeks so as long as I get it out by then :005:

We came home one day to find our b & w springer pup Jess was 'bleeding' profusely from her mouth and 'blood' was all over her white neck,ears, chest, paws. It turned out she had eaten one of OH tubes of vermillion oil paint. >:D :lol:
It slowly faded after a few long and very wet and muddy walks and lots of vigorous brushing when dry, but only after it had attracted a few comments from concerned people. The clay acted as a pretty effective dry cleaner actually, but it wasn't instant.
I've managed to get most of it out but there is a very stubborn bit on his shoulder that aint budging. He has his first show in a couple of weeks so as long as I get it out by then :005:
Just a few hours of walks a day should do it then. :005:

When I was four I was living with just my Dad.
He came downstairs one morning to find me (happily) bleeding all over the kitchen. It was a tin of red enamel paint! :005:
Don't suppose that came out of everything very easily either!

Stain devils do a range of stain removers including one for biro ink. It might be worth a try if used verrrrry sparingly on the hair and not on the skin and washing verrrry thoroughly and quickly straight away afterwards. ( :-\ depends how desperate you are I suppose)

I would try milk too GIll - wouldn't use anything else on him ;)

White wine??
Apparently if you spill red wine then you should cover the stain with white wine to remove it.............or is it the other way round?!! :huh: The only trouble is that the dog will then smell like the inside of a brewery; but you can't have everything!!! :005:

Vinegar is supposed to be good fro removing ink. Works on my sons shirts :huh:

Hairspray should work well - it works well on leather couches if you catch ink quick enough. It would be fine I'm sure if you bathed him afterwards.
Or else he can go as the nw shade of orange roan - the *Biro* strain ;) ::)

It has come out now - took a good few days but its all gone ;)
