Hi Arvy is 12 weeks old and has a lovely soft silky coat but its getting a bit curly and thick especially on his legs so I think he could do with a bit of thinning or trimming. I'd also like to trim inside his ears as he has a few tufts that look a bit itchy. Am I getting a bit carried away doing this so early. Its been about 10 years since I had to do this to a springer, I have my 20 year old baby scissors ready for the ears but I need a bit of confidence building. Can anyone tell me what other equipment I need and is there some guidelines out there before I start on the wriggly beast. I must admit I'm was really chuffed and proud of him yesterday when training him with "sit" and "off" helped get grooming done nice and easily.
