Rubber bands with combs

Hi, this will sound really dumb but what rubber bands do you use in your combs?  I've just bought a Spratts 71 comb and a 76; I understand that people thread a rubber band through the 71, but just wondered if it mattered which one?

I use a flat elastic band that came
with the post at work  ;)
