Thanks Jane, the puppy I used it on is a pet but the owner didn't want him clipped, and to have pulled all that fluff when I was able to use the coat king seemed a bit silly ???.

I have also heard of some show dogs being prepared this way, and I have to admit it did cross my mind to try it with Otis 8) but his coat is starting to give now at long last (you can see that brown tinge in the light). Just hope enough comes out for him to look respectable at Richmond ;D

Hi - am now the proud owner of Wahl KM2 clippers. I am really impressed with them, they certainly don't get hot like the osters and are a nice shape to handle.  Thanks Michele the advice was really excellent.
