Handstripping--results?!
« on: November 16, 2005, 12:38:54 AM »
Bailey's been neutered as well as clippered before so I didn't think he could be hand stripped.  But when I went to the groomers, she said that he could and pulled out some hair...so I've tried to do it at home.  So far I've spent the last 2 nights (about 1 hour each night) on his head and left side of his back and am not seeing a big difference...so just wondering if I'm doing it right.  I'm wearing rubber gloves and each time I pull with the hair growth, only about 4 or 5 strands of hair comes out, it is very tedious work!  Is that the right amount of hair that should be coming out or is he just too difficult to hand strip?  I would give up if it bothers him, but Bailey just slept right through it all and didn't even stir when I was working on head.
