The transformation of Clive has begun

I've bitten the bullet and me and the OH spent the weekend battling with Clive's fluff. It's not all gone because it's not all ready to come out but...the top knot is no more! Many thanks to Lisa for her advice...we need a lot more practice but it's not bad (I hope!) for a first attempt.

What do you think? By the way, be kind - I do feel like I've given him the doggie equivalent of a crew cut  ph34r

He looks lovely to me  :luv: but I am not expert. I would love to have a go at Pepsi myself as the last time she was groomed it was awful. She's so thick she has has to be clippered and I am scared I'll skin her and she'll look nothing like a cocker  ph34r

I think you've done a great job, he looks gorgeous......just a question though, was all the fluff puppy fluff or will it grow back??

My Sam is starting to develop a top knot and furry pants and a beard.My OH was just walking him tonight when four lads shouted out from a car, telling him he had a gay dog!! I have also been asked by someone if he is a poodle  :-\

I just think top knot or no top knot cockers are gorgeous , I love them  :luv:

I think you've done a great job. He looks like a proper dog now. imo Before he looked like he'd just had hair rollers removed after a wash and blow dry,   :lol: (but I'm only a working cocker owner so know nothing about what show cockers coats should be like). Well done. :D

Well, it's not bad to start with, though to be honest his chops are now wonky and still too long and I haven't attempted anything under the ears, but I'm pretty pleased! We'll give him a couple of days break and then try to neaten him up.

Lisa - the instructions were great, though I can see how much better it is to see someone in action.  :D

He's looking good! I try and do bits on my 2 but the other week I took the plunge and did Phoebe all over - I think I did a good job! So I don't think we'll be using groomers again for a while!
