Stripping Stones
« on: April 28, 2006, 12:12:58 PM »
Just wondered if anyone had tried Stripping Stones?  They are really good... like volcanic lava, and very cheap. Pull the coat up and go under it with the stone, they strip out all the dead hair. I find them better for the larger areas than my Mars Coat King.

Yes I've got one  ;) I like it for stripping the excess hair around the face/stop area

Never heard of them, but they sound very useful.  I am never happy with my attempts at tidying the stop area, so will be keen to try them out - thanks for the tip.

I've got one too - I just use it for loose hair on the head though like Gilly. Just a tip - always keep it in a plastic bag or case as I discovered they leave a trail of powdery, grey stuff everywhere if you keep one loose in your grooming box ;)

I've heard of them but I read they were hard to use and if you don't do it right, it doesn't work...

They're fine if the hair is completely dead & ready to fall out anyway but I wouldn't use one for generally stripping a show coat as it could break the hair rather than strip it if the hair isn't ready to come out.
