I went ahead with the clipping!!!!

Some of you may remember that I was considering getting Indie clipped as she was dropping her coat badly after her season, plus I could no longer handstrip her myself due to pronblems i'm having with my hands not to mention the fact i'm allergic to her

Anyway today was the day that she went and got clipped, when she came out I was a bit shocked   her feathering is very very short, but overall I am pleased with the results and think she still looks like a cocker

Shes a little monkey keeping still for me to take pictures, I am trying to get a side view to show you, but not having much luck with the camera   So heres one of her sitting down to start off I will post some side views when shes behaving

As you can see she still has the feathering on her chest and her ears have just been thinned out

I'm having the same dilema - both of mine swim on every walk and I just cant keep up with the grooming.  The problem is when a tiny mat gets wet is turns to a big mat very quickly and as they get wet in the morning and the afternoon its getting beyond a joke!

Really would like to see those sideviews asap

I see what you mean about the feathering being short, but she still looks like a cocker and I reckon she will be MUCH easier to groom!!

i think she looks stunning,iv also had a lot of  people telling me not to get ruby clipped and to hand stip her personaly i think they look lovley clipped but i intend to do alot of country walking with her so think it would be better for her alround so that theres no nasty knots to get out after a lovley day out.i like the fact that tey kept some of her cocker fethering it looks lovley

you've got to think of the practicalities, and this is a perfect solution for you and indie

i like that they've not clipped her ears right back, she still looks like a spaniel and she will be much more comfy

dont worry about her fethering,really she looks lovley its probebly just because your not used to seeing her cut like this but honestly my opion is she looks a cutie.
