I have a Lawrence Tendercare which I like very much, but I do think it is a matter of preference, I had a Mikki one prior to this and it just felt wrong.   ::)

Yes, I have the Tendercare too but unfortunately it still doesn't seem to be tender enough for Lottie, she hates slickers and twitches and jumps when I use it on her ::)  I'd be interested to know if there is an even 'tenderer' one I could buy for her :005:

I often use a mikki with retractable teeth when the dogs are moulting as it is so easy to clean.

The small one I use is nothing special, just a standard slicker.

Mary have you tried a cat or rabbit slicker brush?  Some of them have plastic teeth with a bobble on the end and are very gentle.  I used to use one on my rabbit and he loved it.  You might need to use a comb afterwards though to make sure any tangles deep down in the coat are out?

The kindest slicker I have found by far is this one from Mikki available from Dezynadog  :shades:

That one looks good as the bobbles won't scratch her.  That's started my shopping list for Crufts, thanks :D ;)

I like the blue plastic curved Hindes Slicka - it's in Sarah's link. I need a new one though as my current one is held together with masking tape after Stevie had a good munch on it.  ::)  I hate having to get new slickers - they never feel as good as the old one.
