My Grooming Disaster!!
« on: February 28, 2007, 06:10:13 PM »
Hi
I was replying to a post yesterday and said I would post pictures of Millie after our nightmare at the grooming parlour
This is the post i replied in,  http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss/index.php?topic=25058.0
And these are the pictures I promised
The Before Pics, (very cute looking Millie)

And the After pics, (a not so happy doggy now)

Needles to say it's going to be a long time before she needs any trim or cut, but she is certainly not going back to that place.

Wow - extreme trimming!  :o

She really does look a different dog. Poor girl - it will grow back though. Might take some time. She is such a pretty little thing too  :luv:

You will become more used to the new look over time too - but that groomer has gone too far.

I meant to add - I don't know if you do have any issues with brushing her - but now is the time to tackle those while she has very little coat. ;)

Thanks for all your replies, it does help to know that we are not alone in this experience, I'm sure she will be back to her old self soon, (hopefully)

Kim, we are located in Doncaster, near the M18.

Pammy, we normally don't have too much trouble with brushing, she does quite enjoys it really. Tries to chew the brush though
She just gets too excited. :D :D

Oh....

Somebody told me once when I was doing a really good impression of Frankenstein's monster, that the difference between a good haircut and a bad one is a couple of weeks. It is true too.

Now's the time to calm it down then as you don't have to worry about getting knots etc out;)

Such a pretty wee girl and what a hatchet grooming job  ph34r I would be none to pleased if one of mine came back like that BUT a lot of people do like the manageability of keeping their cocker's coat that short so maybe the groomer isn't entirely at fault. It just goes to show that there is nothing better than a recommendation when it comes to groomers.
Don't worry though, it will grow back  ;)
