I use a rubber finger stall for my dogs faces/cheeks. :D

Would surgical type gloves work in same way?

I would think so although they're not as thick as a finger stall so they may not be as efficient. I use surgical gloves for stripping where you're pulling out the fur between your forefinger and thumb. A finger stall is on your forefinger and you just go over the dog's face and cheeks with it removing the excess (dead) fur.

I hope I've made myself clear - it's easier to do than explain! ;)

So should you be passing through Worcestershire from Switzerland, please feel free to drop in !

I'll get myself a finger stall then and work on this as I can already see a few tufts I've missed  ;)

I'll be grooming the dogs today so will try and get a pic or two of their faces and cheeks (before/after finger stall). :D

P.S. The finger stall is, by the way, a tip I got from Byron's breeder. She taught me a few things about grooming.

The fur really flew at our place today. Even little Mac got groomed along with Holly and Byron!

Here are a couple of pics of me using the finger stall on Holly. :D

You can see all the little white hairs that have been removed. Go in the same direction the fur is growing. Do the snout, head and cheeks.

Good luck and let us know if you're happy with the results! ;)

I think Jasper looks super he looks the double of our Holly and I hope I do as good a job as you when I get started. Both of ours look like a couple of bears at the moment.
