If the hair won't strip out from the legs, or if you're not handstripping, then use thinning shears on the legs.
Clippers are handy for shaving out the hair (and mats
) in the pads of the feet and the armpits. If she doesn't get mats in the armpits or lets you comb them out then that isn't necessary, but I do think a small inexpensive trimmer is good for doing the pads, as they can get some pretty nasty mats in between the toes and the big back pad.
